Spring / Summer ASOS Wishlist

I always get very excited when the weather turns that little bit warmer and you can start thinking about all the gorgeous Spring / Summer clothes, that fill up the high street.

When it comes to Spring / Summer my style turns very girlie, I love all the pretty summer dresses, the lace and the floral crowns. Of course my first stop for some inspiration was ASOS. As you know I love ASOS. The fact they have everything you ever need or want in nearly every size for different shapes and sizes! It was the perfect and only place to start.

I wouldn't be able to have a look on the site if I didn't put anything in my saved items, so today I thought I would share with you some of my favourite pieces that will be a must have for this season.

I love all these pieces, they are perfect for a casual day out and about or to dress up in the evenings. I'm sure you will be seeing these in up coming hauls and they will be not be staying in my saved items for long!!

Do you have any favourite pieces from ASOS at the moment??

Rosegold Obsession Continues...

I just wanted to share with you a new gorgeous pair of shoes. I may do a little outfit of the day with theses at some point in the future so be sure to look out for that.

These gorgeous rose gold metallic pumps are from Kurt Geiger. I had brought a black pair around this time of year last year and loved them so I thought it was time to update my boring black pair.

I absolutely love these, I think they are gorgeous and as my style has gone very plain and simple lately these would be the perfect item to give my outfit a bit of personality!

Not only to they jazz up and outfit they are also the perfect comfort shoes to run around it. I've had so many compliments when wearing these shoes.

I loves these to pieces and I can not get enough of them.

Much love

Why Is Changing Your Skin Care So Important??

Why is changing up your skincare so important??

We all find products that we love and work wonders for our skin however a few months later they aren't doing the job and we are back wondering why and buying more products.

I am always hearing ladies talk about how they have love and used a product for years but refuse to change it up as they feel like this product is still working for the skin.

Why do products suddenly stop working for our skin?

Our skin is always changing, whether that be through ageing, environmental or day to day factors. Anything from too much sun exposure to coffee lovers to busy mums. Our lives don't stay the same from the whole of out life so why do we seem to think that neither does our skin. Our skin grows and develops the same as we do. It changes just as we do so feeding it the right nutrients will help to continue give it that gorgeous healthy glow.

A perfect way to keep up with your skin is just take some time out for it. whether that be booking in a facial at a salon or even popping to one of the skin care counters on your lunch break, the more we learn and educate ourselves the greater understanding we will have.

For me my skin has got very spotty, oily since I turned 20. Im putting this down to hormones and day to day factors like air-con and a lot of coffee!

A few products that I've found to really help just control this, first is a good exfoliation followed by a mask. I have been loving the Elemis Papaya Emyzme Peel and Elemis Herbal lavender Repair mask. I will use these twice a week.

Papaya Enzyme peel contain pineapple and papua which are natal acid to help exfoliate the skin, and also milk protein which helps to hydrated and sooth. I absolutely love this product, it works wonder specially if you have an event or a party, makes the skin look gorgeous!

Herbal Lavender Repair Mask. The lavender in this is really good for healing, is also an anti-inflammatory so its going to target those spots to help reduce them down. Again this mask leaves the skin feeling so sooth and fresh without being too drying!!

These two products have been my wonder products over the last month or so, and I love them.

Sometines just changing a few products in your route can make all the difference. Remember your skin is always changing so think about what could be contributing to this, to help you feel like your skin is how it has always been. Healthy and radiant.

Much Love

Packing for an Overnight Stay

Picture from Pinterest

Overnight stays is the the time to pack lightly and this is something I'm not very good at. When it comes to packing I always stress out that I'm going to forget something.!

Over the years, I've realised what I do and don't need when when packing for night or two, I thought I would share with you what few tips and items that I always take away with me.

A Few Must Have Items
Small Suitcase, there is nothing worse then having to lug around massive suitcase or bag that weights a tonne. For me a small suitcase that has wheels is just perfect wether you are flying or hopping onto a train.
Layering, taking few key pieces away and adding over sized scarfs, jumpers. Can really change an outfit without having to take your whole wardrobe with!!
Travel Sized Products, these are amazing for travelling with. You can get travel sized products in most items from shampoo conditioner, body lotion, tanning, skin care, hair brushes! They are the perfect size that you end up using them all before you need to return and they save a lot of room in your suitcase.
Books/phone/ipad, it can be pretty lonely if your in your hotel room alone or just fancy a bit of downtime. The channels on the TV are never as good so having entertainment is key for me.

Packing what you actually need is so important when it comes to packing for a night. There isn't enough room in the suitcase to add in the 'just in case' items. I write down a list of everything I used day and night and by the time it comes to packing I know what I want to take and what I don't need to take. At the end of the day if I forget one product or a top its not the end of the world and if it is then there is mostly always a boots around the corner.

Do you have any tips or items you like to pack then your away for a few days?

How to Deal with Long Journeys!!

Picture of Pinterest

Ever since I was little, we did long car journeys. We drove everywhere, so being trapped in the car for hours is something I'm used to. However getting older it becomes a lot more boring, the car journeys seem longer and I just didn't know what to do!

Journeys are always long whether you are on a 10 hour plane flight, on a train journey or even a passenger in the car. I have a few tips that I do, to make it a bit less painful.

Entertainment
I will always have a book, iPad and of course my phone with me. These just allow me to get lost in another world for a little bit and make the time pass a lot quicker. Headphones are always a must, just to block out all the noise that can come with travelling.

Snacks and Drink
Food just makes everything better! I will always make sure I have snacks in my bag. I love dried fruit and packs of sweets. Anything sweet is good with me!! For a drink if I'm on a plane or in the car bottle water is my saviour but at any chance I can get a coffee there will be one in my hand!

Work
Travelling is the time I feel most inspired, I tend to write down ideas, plan blog posts. Plus it makes the time disappear which is a massive bonus.

Comfy Clothes
Being comfortable is a must for me. Oversized jumpers, scarfs anything to make me feel warm and cosy and maybe even have a nap!
When flying I always take an extra pair of socks!

Just a few of my little tips and ideas that makes travelling easier for me.

Much love

Where Have I Been??

Where have I been? Why did I stop blogging? What happened?

Just a few questions that have been running through my mind over the last 4 months or so. Honestly I don't think I have the answers to any of them but what I do know is blogging was always my happy place and the whole community behind it.

Nearly 3 years ago I started this little blog, mostly because I love reading other blog and have a huge interest in the blogging/social media and beauty world but more importantly it made me forget what was going on in the 'real' world. Soon it became my happy place, a place I could share what I enjoyed, disliked and thoughts that were circling in my mind.

Over the last 3 years, I've see the community grow at such a fast pace and honestly I got a little bit lost, in why I blog and what I enjoy about it. I was blogging about what was the 'trend' what was 'popular' to write about and I lost myself and my blog. It was no longer my happy place, I found it harder and harder to write what I thought, and in the end I stopped.

Over the last couple of months I have been posting here and there, I lost my inspiration. I decided to take a little break from my blog and the blogging world.

I've taken time out to find what inspires me, what I like, love and dislike but most importantly who I am!

I suppose that answers why I'm writing this -for me - a very personally post. I am ready to catapult myself back into what I enjoyed and what was my happy place.

So what now...?

For me I will not put myself under so much pressure, I will post what I like, what I enjoy and when I want to - however I will try to stick to a schedule of Mondays & Wednesday at 4pm. Most importantly to know that somedays I won't have the inspiration or the ideas to create a new blog post and thats okay.

I will also be a lot more active on my social media accounts. I've been leaving twitter a lone a lot lately and I want to change that! So please if you haven't already follow me on my Twitter and Instagram

For now,

Much Love
